Nothing says romance like a man in drag playing a double bass

Mr Beastie: Well quite. That's what I thought.

Boo-poo-pee-doo, Miss Scarlet! That means: What colour knickers are you wearing tonight?

Dave said...

What's to be happy about?

scarlet-blue said...

Mr Bananas: Well what d'ya reckon? Should I wear white - as in pure as the driven snow... or scarlet?

Dave: Blimey Dave! You should be happy that you're knocking up a fish finger sandwich. And don't forget the sauce.

Best romantic fillums:

* Some Like It Hot
* Philadelphia Story
* Casablanca

Used to like Brief Encounter until I found myself playing the end scene one time.

Crabtree said...

Some Like it Hot ,it is cracking !!
Even if my preferred is "River of no return"

Mr XL: Okay then. Thank-you!

Kev: I'm pretending I'm not here... I'm pretending to be out on the razz, waving my knickers in the air and generally behaving badly... but yes.. I think that lot are amongst my favourite fillums...
I'm often quoting the the end line of 'Now Voyager'... usually to myself!

Mr Crabtree: Marilyn was also in 'All About Eve'... another cracker... and I have now almost completed my filmic connections!

Scarlet wears knickers? I'd have lost money on that.

Ponita said...

@XL: You say that to all the girls....

I think you should wear the scarlet ones....

Tonight will be chocolate and Baileys and see what movies are on the telly... no date for me.

*pouts*

Oh, I'm still back at Happy Birthday Mr President----
And why would you wear knickers tonight ?
What, not expecting company ?

scarlet-blue said...

Mr Jimmy: Well, it's winter... I don't like draughts. Now Summer is a different matter... whip 'em off, I say!

Ponita: Yep... scarlet of course!
We had rubbish telly last night, so I plugged myself into a DVD and watched 'Some Like It Hot' instead.

Mr Clyde: More to unwrap! Plus as I said... jolly chilly here in the UK...

I spent the evening sewing.

My 'date' stood me up. I had a lovely night after that.

Not.

scarlet-blue said...

Dave: I have seen your sewing and I was most impressed. I like a soft landing for my bum.

Jane: Well, meant you could eat all the chocolates yourself... I'm going to go for a jog now!

Ms. Scarlet,

This past week I have been inspired to step outside my comfort zone and acknowledge my kinship with "things that are romantic. That inspiration led to creative thinking and action. Thoughts of Ms. Hepburn and "Breakfast at Tiffany's did help.

I am in your debt, perhaps I can one day reciprocate.

Excellent use of shadow on Marilyn's bosom there.

I had an excellent Valentine's Evening in the company of BBC4.

scarlet-blue said...

Mr U: I'm most certainly up for a spot of lite reciprocation. I'm sure you will do wonders for me...

Kaz: I know! I strive for a similar effect with a pot of blusher.

How remarkable to find that footage of my first meeting with Harold. He said I was more curvaceous than the double bass. I said he could pluck my G string. Who said romance is dead?!

scarlet-blue said...

Daphne: And I'm sure it was you who gave the sax player the horn...
