28 Weeks Later

There's a tune that's been really bugging me. It's been used in TV dramas and in documentaries to heighten dramatic effect. I didn't have a clue what it was... I was even going to do a blog post asking if anyone knew... It begins softly, but with clever repetition climatic tension builds... gradually it becomes harder and louder... louder and harder... harder and louder...
I'm sure somebody would have known what I was banging on about. Anyhow, I have been saved the embarrassment of virtual humming. Luckily I saw '28 Weeks Later' at the weekend... and I have been relieved of my frustration.
Play it loud; love it, love it, love it!!

I hope in the third one they make the movie scary from beginning to end.

Pour le poste précédant ;

Certains se demanderont " Mais que dit-il ? " Donc je continue en Fr.
Le but était un test linguistique .

Donc vous avez un Sourire éblouissant et une voix de velours ?
Tout comme the French Lover "Raindrops Keep Fallin"...

There's a lot of music in our family (no, not me!) so maybe we could have answered the question!

I would've never been able to guess the tune. I'd've turned into a zombie trying to figure out a tune like that.

I liked 28 days later; never seen 28 weeks later, though. How was it?

Dammit !
There was no words to sing along with.
The Beast likes a good sing-a-long

Although I've owned the DVD for months, for some reason I've never got around to it. Perhaps I need someone to hold my hand while I'm watching it.

Yes, this one could definitely put bristles on cheese and force them to become erect.

Too spooky for me for a Monday morning, sorry.

KAZ said...

Hmm - orgasmic music the way you describe it.
Do you think that Dave wants Beast to hold his hand.

Crabbers: Blimey - a sweet talking French man on a Monday morning! What more could I ask for?!
Blimey - un homme doux de parler français le lundi matin! Que pourrais-je demander de plus?!

Mr XL: Good innit?

Savannah: So do I - and this one had really been bugging me.. now I can download it onto my iPod.

David: Hello and Welcome! Well, next time I have this problem I'll come straight to you.

Mr Swings: I liked the first half of 28 Days Later.. deserted London etc, but controversially, I preferred 28 weeks overall. I thought it maintained the tension all the way through and didn't lose the plot. I'm a bit of a sucker for zombie films. Have you seen 'Rec'?

Mr Beastie: Apologies! I think this is a tune for something else!

Dave: Yep, it is a bit scary - I hid behind a cushion during the most gory parts.
Trouble is, if you watch it with someone else, you half expect them to turn into a zombie... which is also quite scary!

Mr Whirly: I think it puts the bristles on everything!

Gadj: Apologies! Have you seen the film?

Kaz: Dave and Mr Beastie! A dream scenario!

I think that film was prophetic. It's starting to feel like that now - one million people in the US have swine flu! And one thousand in London. I think I've got it. There aren't so many people out in the streets these days. Mind you, it is the holiday season ... but then again .... (creepy music starts playing)

Joanna Cake said...

Ive not seen the films as Im not a horror fan - I have my own imagination to frighten the crap out of me without having to pay for someone else's. Great music tho :)

Scarlet-Blue said...

Pat: I promise that you won't catch 'rage'!!

Daphne: I have a bad feeling about this Swine flu business. And nobody has explained why all those Mexicans died?
Fashion tip: surgical gloves.

Ms Cakes: Well, it made shopping in Waitrose more exciting. I was playing spot the zombie. It became very scary.

I must admit that it is quite 'nipply' in places. Join me in a cold shower Scarls?

Mr Jimmy: Now there's an offer! I now have goose-bumps...

Daisy: I'm pleased! ;o)

Liked 28 days, but preferred 28 weeks. I have a big thing about zombie films and adore all of them. I think it reminds me of being at work.

Scarlet-Blue said...

Mr Wolfy: Goodness me!! Calm yourself... I feel like I'm about to be ravished.

Madame D: We seem to have much in common... what with the sweets, the zombie films [I have quite a collection myself] and the... erm... auburn connection...
Have you seen 'Rec'? - It's spanish, but one of the best zombie films I've seen - along with the original Dawn of the Dead [fab].

Harder and louder?

Sounds like my kind of thing..

eroswings said...

Haven't seen Rec, but I'll add it to the list of scary flicks to see--like The Hitcher. Luv horror/suspense flicks! I have seen Land of the Dead, and that was fun!

I was going to say something, but my mind seems strangely blank.

Sarah said...

I wanted to watch the vid...honest but the streaming was crap and it wouldn't do..so don't know what the fuck it's all about...sorry!

Scarlet-Blue said...

Lulu: Imagine, I'm scared to death of insects yet willingly watch zombies all night.
I have auburn low-lights... nothing more...!

Pete: I suppose you've turned into a complete non-stop party animal now, haven't you?

Mr Swings: In exchange I will add Land of the Dead to my list!

Dave: Have you be taking too many drugs again?

Sarah: I understand - I hate it when that happens... I think the heat is interfering!

Ubercool eh?

Wouldn't it be infrickincredible to walk out of the hospital and stroll around London all by yourself!?

That scene was so amazing and I don't know whether I was more impressed by the CGI effects or if it was my inner Misanthropist having an orgasm? Prolly both.

Scarlet-Blue said...

Mr Coppens: I sometimes hum the theme from the original 'Dawn of the Dead' when I'm out shopping... shamefully, I'm probably engaging with my inner misanthropist...!
